Innovators in Sight Restoration

When Brazer began working with Seattle-based SightLife in 2010, domestic operations were poised to expand from the Pacific Northwest and Mountain States to key markets in California.  The organization also projected rapid growth in its quest to provide high-quality, transplantable corneas to the 10 million treatable blind in India, Nepal and other developing countries.

I have worked with Brazer Communications for several years and what most impressed me was the Brazer Team’s ability to quickly understand our business and become an integral part of our organization. I can rely on them to provide the highest level of service for a broad range of marketing communications needs that reflect the unique nature of our business and to fulfill the needs of any department in our organization.

- Rusty Kelly, Chief Marketing Officer, SightLife

SightLife had an impressive reputation among those who knew about the 30-year-old organization, but with a dynamic new executive team and an aggressive new business development plan, SightLife needed Brazer Communications to help with refreshed branding, positioning and messaging, as well as strategic communications planning and business development strategic counsel.

Our work has included a positioning and messaging platform, creation of collateral material, copy writing and editing, trade show booth management, media relations campaigns, and booking speaking opportunities. We also serve as strategic counsel to SightLife’s CEO and Chief Marketing and Development Officers.

Brazer’s media relations efforts on behalf of SightLife have targeted major media outlets on the West Coast, internationally, and in ophthalmology trade publications. To expand  SightLife’s  visibility in California Brazer proposed, organized and publicized several first-ever “reunions” between cornea transplant recipients and the families of the cornea donors. These highly emotional events generated front-page stories in major newspapers such as the San Francisco Chronicle, as well as heartwarming television news segments that highlighted the importance of cornea donation and the skills of the surgeons involved.

Mara Brazer and her team have delivered results that matter for SightLife! From fantastic media recognition to insightful strategic direction each member of the Brazer team has exceeded our expectations.
